Turner Gulch Road
Turner Gulch Road was the first trail of the day. The day started out pretty chilly but it had warmed up nicely by the afternoon, which made it a very nice day to be out on the trails.
Walt and Matt met up at the trailhead for Turner Gulch Road at the Tarryall Reservoir Dam off County Road 77. We walked up to the dam to take in the view of the dam and the waterfall next to the dam.
After a short time, we started down the trail. As we pulled out of the parking area a group of trucks with trailers passed us, though they took a different trail shortly after the parking lot area.
We stopped at a camping spot on top of a hill to take in the view of the area, which was a nice break.
Turner Gulch Road follows a ridgeline, and it gave us a lot of great views of the area with snow topped mountains in the distance.
As we got closer to the end of Turner Gulch Road, we ran into a few groups of four-wheelers.
For most of Turner Gulch Road, we did not see any other people out and about, even with the nice, clear, and sunny day.
Soon we were at the end of Turner Gulch Road and continued on to La Salle Pass.
