Taylor Pass
We left Pearl Pass after being denied access to the actual pass. We couldn't cross over to the other side, so we turned around and headed back out to Castle Creek Road. As we went along, Jeffrey noticed that we passed Express Creek Road and knew that was the road we needed to take to do Taylor Pass. We made a u-turn and headed up to the Taylor Pass trail.
It was an easy trail and we would have done more wheeling that evening but it was getting dark and we still needed to set up camp. We soon found a good spot to camp.
That night, it hailed and rained on us constantly. The next morning we broke camp early since everyone was already awake because of the storms. We ended up camping about a mile and half from the summit at Taylor Pass. When we got to the top we found that the fog from that morning was breaking right as we got to the top. We stopped and took some pictures and continued on down the other side.
Because of the rain the night before there were a lot of good puddles on the trail for us to splash through. The section where you drive in the creek had a lot of water in it making it a lot of fun. We finished out the trail and headed toward Italian Creek.
