We had a large group signed up, nine vehicles in all. Ryan sponsored a new member, too. He brought his Dad, Ray with a 2008 2-door green Jeep Wrangler Rubicon on 35-inch tires. Roger and Mike met early and headed down from Highlands Ranch via Perry Park Road. While chatting on the CB, they picked up other members of the group on I-25 and ended up meeting Walt, Bill, and Gary at the McDonald's in Monument. The entire group almost came together with everyone at the Home Depot except Jeffrey, and he was just down the road at McDonald's.

There was a very large gathering of over 20 4x4s in the parking lot and they were all heading up to Eagle Rock. We decided to hit the road early in an attempt to get ahead of the crowd, but it wasn't to be. We were mixed in with the group (or groups) all the way from the Broadmoor to the trailhead, with most of them passing us as we stopped on Old Stagecoach Road to air down and disconnect.

Our plan was to run Saran Wrap first, so we headed on up to the trailhead rather than stopping at Eagle Rock. We were hoping that the other group would be well up Eagle Rock by the time we got to it.

Since we were all aired down and no one was at the Saran Wrap trailhead, we started right up the trail. We were soon at the whoopdeedoos and everyone had fun testing out their suspension. Gary got some good air under one tire, but as luck would have it, the cameraman missed it. That would be the story for the rest of the day. The rocky hill was also a good time, and everyone took their own line. Everyone got tippy and had lots of flex.

It wasn't long at all before we found ourselves at the split between the High Road and the Low Road. Mike was in the lead, and not knowing that the Low Road was more challenging, he went up the High Road. Everyone got through this without trouble and we all gathered at the top. We went down the Low Road, just to mix it up a little. Mike kissed the big rock on the left with his front left fender, but it just scratched the paint. Everyone worked their way down without drama and we were soon to the turn for the downhill section towards Eagle Rock. We got a little split up here, but after regrouping we were soon at the end of the trail and ready to start Eagle Rock.
