Jenny Creek
Jenny Creek was the first trail of the day. We all met up at the gas station just outside of Rollinsville. It did look like it was going to be a nice, sunny day for the trail runs.
When we arrived at Tolland Road, we aired down to make the long drive down the dirt road less bumpy.
Near the start of Jenny Creek, the trail narrows down to just wide enough for one Jeep. We were hoping that we would not run into a group going in the other direction. We did run into an oncoming group, but they were a group of five motorbikes or so. Most of the motorbikes moved off the trail onto the shoulder with trees and shrubs to make room for us to drive past them.
Soon, we were at the creek crossing. The creek did have some moving water but none of us had any issues with the water.
The newer part of Jenny Creek is easy going with a lot of great views to enjoy. Near the end of Jenny Creek, just across from Yankee Doodle Lake, we stopped for lunch. The view was great from the lunch spot at a campsite. Then we headed off to our next trail.
