White 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon

It was a nice, warm, sunny day. Matt's new axle basically blew up in Moab last month and this was his test run with the new, replacement axle.

Matt started Rampart Range Road from the south end. When he got to the Garden of the Gods the road was closed and he had to wait for an hour before the road was opened. They were having a race at the Garden of the Gods park and it definitely caused a delay.

After the wait he was on his way up Rampart Range Road for a nice Sunday drive in the mountains. His new axle needed breaking in, too. It was just about the perfect day for a drive. Matt had brought his oldest son along for the ride and he also enjoyed his day out with the Jeep.

There was a lot of traffic on Rampart Range Road, with lots of cars, trucks and bikes. We did stop a few times to let the boy play on some rocks and walk around. Rampart Range Road is a very long road to drive all in one shot.

After a few hours of driving we came to the end of Rampart Range Road and we turned onto Highway 67 to return home. And the good news was that Matt did not have any issues with the new axle. That definitely made this a very nice day.

It was chilly and raining as we worked our way through Sedalia and over to the north end of Rampart Range Road. We had big plans to finish Winding Stairs Road, and there were some mines we were hoping to check out on the way. We aired down to save…
