Phantom Canyon was our second and last trail run for the day. It's an easy trail with bridges, old train tunnels and camping areas with rest stops. Though there were some spots along the trail with a bit of snow on them we didn't have any issues along the way.

As we got closer to the town of Cripple Creek we could see the clouds starting to move in and the wind started to blow. It was the head of the next storm blowing in. Luckily, we were going to miss it.

Soon we were at the end of Phantom Canyon Road. It was still early in the day. It was going to be nice to get back home before it was dark.

Phantom Canyon was the second and last trail for the day, and it was still nice out. It did not take long for us to get far enough into the Phantom Canyon trail to find it covered in snow (again), especially in the north-facing, shady spots. It was even wet…
