We had just finished Yankee Hill, happy to find our only trail without snow blocking the way. We planned on running Oh-My-God Road from Central City to Idaho Springs, making a big loop out of the day.

We made a nice parade of muddy 4x4 rigs on our way through Central City, and then we were out and on our way. When we got to the intersection with Russell Gulch, most of us decided to go explore that trail, too. Bill and Austin went on to Idaho Springs while the rest of us turned to Russell Gulch.

After we finished exploring the trails around Russell Gulch, the rest of the group headed down to Idaho Springs, too. Oh-My-God Road in this direction isn't particularly challenging, though it is a pretty steep downhill trail that just keeps going. We noticed that the drainage area that is being built is really complicated. We hoped they'd leave the trail section as it is, though.

Once we got to Idaho Springs we worked our way to the parking area behind Beau Jo's so we could air up and reconnect our sway bars. Then we went in for some pizza and chit chat. The beginning of the season is always so great for catching up, and this was a great day of scenery even with the snow difficulties.
