We left Roger and Mike as they headed for home with Roger's broken Jeep and the three remaining Jeeps headed up the trail. It was raining off and on but we found a dry trail. The clouds looked menacing so it probably wasn't done.

Frosty Park was nice and we found muddy areas along the trail. It wasn't too sloppy and no one had any issues. We passed by the hiking trail that goes up to Mount Rosa but we didn't see any hikers. The weather wasn't good for hiking unless you wanted to get struck by lightning.

It didn't take us long to get up to the camp overlook. We got out to check out the scenery and stretch our legs, and many other 4x4 vehicles went by in both directions in the short time we were there. Jerry's Jeep was filled with guys without enough clothing, so they were pretty chilly and wet. We took some pictures and moved on.

When we got down to Deer Park and the intersection with the Eagle Rock trail it started to rain and then hail a bit. We managed to find a few trees that came over the trail so we pulled to the side to wait it out. It really started hailing, then. When the hail let up a bit, Monica put her windows in and we all tried to get as waterproof as possible. By the time we got to the main intersection it had stopped, and there was hail on both sides of the trail. Everything was wet.

We waited for a truck to come down and then we headed up. The climb was fun and the views were amazing. There was one area on the shelf road that was pretty tight between a rock and a washed out section of trail but no one had any issues.

It wasn't long before we were at the end near the gate. With the weather, hiking even higher was out of the question so we just hung out. It was windy and cold so we didn't hang out very long. We turned to take the loop and do the fun and rocky part. It was a great time, though it was short.

We easily made our way back to the intersection and we took the end of the Eagle Rock trail back out to intersect with Bull Park. The marshy area of Deer Park had fresh tire tracks in it, which was very disappointing to see. Hopefully they'll fence it off someday to keep people out of it, even though that's not the ideal thing to see in the mountains.

The weather seemed like it was clearing up a bit, so we were happily off to our next trail. Mount Baldy was full of other happy offroaders, but the traffic didn't give us any troubles.

We met up at the trailhead for Mount Baldy. It looked like it was going to be nice day with the sun out, but a bit on the colder side. At the trailhead, there was no snow on the trail but that did not last too long. The higher in…
