It's funny how when it has been a little while since you've seen a trail that sometimes your memory is hazy. Monica had seen this trail before and she remembered an easy dirt road with a single obstacle at the beginning. The fun obstacle was still there and still fun, but the rest of the trail was a lot more festive than she remembered.

We found the trail easily enough and we were soon on the first obstacle, the big pile of rocks. Each person took either a difficult line or an easy line but no one had any issues. It's a really great obstacle and we'll definitely check it out each time we're nearby, even if we're not doing the trail.

The rest of the trail alternated between awesome scenery and fun little obstacles and hill climbs. We noticed the weird rock formation right away and we talked about it through the entire trail. At first it looked like a rabbit but then later it looked like a crouching Native American woman. It was a great source of conversation as we figured out what it was.

Unfortunately, the Little Canyon trail is a little trail and it ended too soon. We had a great time and we look forward to running it again.

Report from a Different Day

June 2, 2006

Led by Monica I.
We found this trail by accident while looking for Rusty Nail, and ended up having a really nice time. It’s a short trail and not particularly difficult, though the first obstacle is pretty fun. We turned right at the unmarked trail and everyone had a good time picking a line…
