Lenhardy Cutoff
Lenhardy Cutoff was the first trail of the day in the Fourmile Area. We all met up at a gas station and then went to the start of the trail to air down.
Most of Lenhardy is easy to drive, with one or two rocky areas just to add some fun to the trail. At the start of Lenhardy, we passed a side-by-side that caught up to us again later. We pulled to the side to let them pass.
As we got closer to Buena Vista, we started to see a lot of people out hunting and camping, easily recognizable by their orange clothing and gear. Many of them had side-by-sides, four-wheelers and dirt bikes.
We passed a big area with people camping, so we kept on going down Lenhardy Cutoff and stopped at a vacant camp site for lunch. We had lunch in the shade as it was a sunny and warm day.
As we had lunch, we watched hunters going up and down the trail. Some were walking, and others were on four-wheelers. One four-wheeler had a deer strapped to the back of it.
The western side closer to Buena Vista was an easy drive as it looked like it just had been graded very well with a road grader.
Soon, we made it to the end of Lenhardy Cutoff and went straight to the second and last trail for the day, Sevenmile Creek.
