Kerber Creek
We had driven by the trailhead for Kerber Creek the day before as we ran the Toll Road Gulch trail. Since the Alder Creek trail ended a short distance away from the Kerber Creek trailhead, we decided to run this new trail before heading up to Clover Creek. It turned out to be an unremarkable trail except for the Cocomongo Mine ruins shortly after the start of the trail. These might be worth coming back to explore.
We met a couple heading up the trail to go fishing, but other than a couple motorcycles near the end of the trail there was no traffic. We made good time around the loop, stopping briefly at the intersection with the trail to Mosquito Lake to consider that as an option. We ended up deciding this would be something to explore on a future trip.
After that, the trip out to the end was quick and we were soon back at the Toll Road Gulch trail and heading back through Bonanza. The whole trail took less than an hour to cover.
