Ice Cave Creek Road
After running Hotel Gulch and seeing that there was not too much snow on the ground, we all thought that it would be fun to run Ice Cave Creek Road. It's mostly downhill so even a little bit of snow could bring some challenges.
We ran Ice Cave Creek Road from north to south. The start of the trail was fun because we had to drive down all of the hills. The hills on the east side of Rampart Range Road had more snow on the trail than the hills on the west side, but they were still nice.
No one had any issues along the trail. The second half of Ice Cave Creek Road was mostly uphill, so it was a little more fun and challenging. We had some great snowy parts, yet no one had any issues.
We stopped and had a small break on top of a small hill to enjoy the wonderful view of Pikes Peak. The kids climbed all over some rocks and had fun. Soon we were on our way to the next fun trail, Balanced Rock Road.
