It was overcast and raining on and off while driving to our meeting place, so we thought that it was going to rain all day. We had to drive through a few rainstorms, but at the gas station in Johnson Village it was nice and sunny out. But there, too, we could see that the clouds were starting to come in.

We aired down at the last parking area before Hancock Pass trail.

Hancock pass was very bumpy with a lot of small rocks. So, our traveling speed was slow and steady. None of us had many issues with the small rocks.

We did pass a few groups making their way down from the top of the Hancock Pass, but for a Saturday it was not that busy on the trail.

Near the top of Hancock Pass, the trail did get a little more difficult but none of us had any problems, only fun.

We stopped at the top of Hancock Pass for a short break and to take a few pictures. We could see that the clouds were building, and we expected to get wet soon!

The back side of Hancock was steeper but not too bad.

We went past the intersection with Tomichi Pass to finish Hancock Pass. When we got to the end, it started to rain a bit but it didn’t last that long.

After we finished Hancock Pass, we turned around and went back to the start of Tomichi Pass.

Hancock Pass was the second and last trail of the day. It was still cloudy, but for the most part we did not get rained on. As we passed the Allie Belle Mine at the start of Hancock Pass it looked smaller then before. It looked like a lot of…
