Yansing Gulch was the only trail run for the day. We met up at the Gunsmoke Truck Stop. We all thought there were going to be lots of other folks on the trail, as it was going to be the warmest day so far this season with temperatures forecasted to be in the 70s and 80s and sunny.

After fueling up, we went to the parking lot for Yansing. The parking lot was mostly empty. We aired down and went to the trailhead to start the trail. Soon, we arrived at the Rock Garden, and as usual, it was very fun and none of us had any issues. It seemed like it had been dug up more than last year.

The next major obstacle was the Rock Pile. Matt went first through the center line. Alan went second and used the same approach, but Alan took the right-side line through the Rock Pile. Everyone had fun playing around the Rock Pile.

After the Rock Pile we made our way to Whale's Tail. All three of us went up the center line up the obstacle. We all made it look very easy.

After the Whale's Tail we got to the Stairs. At the Stairs, we all took the far-right line. Some of us got a good wheel stand at the start of the Stairs. We also stopped to have lunch there. We ran into a few side-by-sides where they were stopped for lunch, too.

When Brian went to his Jeep during lunch, he noticed that his left sway bar link end had broken off at the weld for the bushing. So, he removed the sway bar link for the rest of the trail.

After lunch we drove to the Chutes. Matt tried driving up but slid off the side into a big boulder. The boulder stopped Matt's slide, and then he had to use his winch to get up the Chutes. Brian and Alan just took the right-side line up the Chutes. They both went a little more to the right than usual and it worked out fine.

The rest of the Yansing Gulch trail was downhill and slow going. Eventually, we arrived at the end of the one-way section of the trail. We did the Rock Garden on the way back out, one more time. We did run into two groups of Jeeps just starting to go up the Rock Garden, but we all got around each other.

At the parking lot for Yansing Gulch we aired back up. We had a great time and enjoyed our day out on the trail.
