Tusher Tunnel
We had a long day of trails ahead of us, and Tusher Tunnel was the first one. It ended up being a very short trail but worth the side trip.
We tried to find the tunnel the year before, but we couldn't find it. This year we drove right to it. We checked out the uphill part in 2006 and had a great view of Bartlett Wash. This time we correctly went down the hill and found the end of the trail.
The hike was very short and pretty easy. The tunnel was bigger than expected, and really cool. Wind goes through it, making interesting patterns in the sandy floor.
When we got to the other side we hung out for a little bit, watching lizards run around. Don explored more of the trail but didn't find anything of interest.
We headed back and started down Hidden Canyon to The Pickle. That's when the fun really started.
