We weren't sure what to expect from this trail, but we knew it was all county roads so we aired down and disconnected sway bars. We figured that would at least turn a bumpy road into a decent ride.

Finding the trailhead was easy, and it started out as a very smooth dirt road. It turned out that it was smooth and nice all the way to the other side, and there was no need to air down or disconnect.

There were big, gorgeous houses and ranches all the way along the road. That explains why the road is so nice.

We were laughing as we got near the end and a UPS truck was coming the other way. The cattle guard at the top of the pass was also quite a laugh as it was the toughest part of the whole "trail."

Even though it wasn't challenging, it was pretty scenic and we enjoyed the drive. It also saved us a lot of miles and time because we were headed for Alamosa and we didn't have to go through Walsenburg. We'll definitely use this little trail again!

Yes, we did this trail twice in one long weekend. We had hoped to run Medano Pass but it was closed after some washouts so we changed our plans. We’d run Pass Creek Pass to get to a new trail instead. Normally we run it in the late afternoon from…
