Mount Herman Road
The first trail for the day was Mount Herman Road. We all met at McDonald's in Monument, and it looked like it was going to be a cool day without much sun.
The beginning of Mount Herman was dry for the most part, but looking up to the top we could see that we would be running into snow. We did run into snow as we climbed higher. It was wet, heavy snow, but any four wheel drive could have made it through.
It wasn't long before we made it to the top of Mount Herman Road and started to make our way to Balanced Rock Road. We did that trail and then came back to the Mount Herman Road trail.
About half way down Mount Herman Road to where we started, we ran into a car stuck in the snow. So, Matt drove around the car to pull him out of the snow so the car could return back down Mount Herman Road. The snow just got deeper as you went up higher, so the car had to turn around. After saving the car we made our way to the bottom of Mount Herman Road where we ended our day.
