Mount Herman Road
We did quite a few trails all in one day, including Winding Stairs Road where Roger flopped over onto his Jeep's nose. We were hungry and exhausted, and couldn't wait to get down and off of the trail and onto pavement.
The sun had gone down long ago as we worked our way down. Naturally, we saw quite a few younger people working their way up in various vehicles. It seems to be a popular way to get into the Rampart Range system for nighttime fun, and we always seem to see people.
It really didn't take long to get down to Monument, even with the traffic. We made it to the parking lot for La Casa Fiesta at 9:30PM and they close at 10PM. We hurried in and had a great meal with awesome service, and everyone was happy telling tales of the day.
We aired up after dinner and headed back out for home, tired but thrilled. We always seem to have some adventures when we go back in that area, and today was no exception. Happy "Roger Day," Roger!
