Mount Herman Road
We had a long day running Winding Stairs Road and Ice Cave Creek Road, not to mention the long, bumpy ride down Rampart Range Road from the north end. Mount Herman Road is the fastest way out to I-25, so we took it to get to Monument.
It was getting dark, but the fog made it seem later. When we got to Balanced Rock it was raining a little, but we snapped a few pictures and checked it out. Then we were on our way.
The road wasn't too bumpy until we got to the other side, then it turned into a really bad ride. We were pretty quiet as we bounced our way down, and pavement never felt so good.
We all stopped for dinner at La Casa Fiesta in Monument, and we had a great time chatting about the day and about our wheeling adventures. It was another great day!
