La Salle Pass was the second trail for the day, and we started it after coming off of China Wall. We looked up ahead at the trailhead and it looked like most of the trail was going to free from snow. So we were feeling pretty good as we started to make our way down La Salle Pass.

We were wrong about the snow, though. The start of the trail was dry, but about three-quarters of the the way down the trail it started to get wet and then it turned into snow. Not all of La Salle Pass was covered in snow, as it still had dry spots here and there. Most of the snow was in the shade, and the snow drifts we found at one time were deep.

We stopped near the top of La Salle Pass for some snow pictures and to take a break in the sun. It really turned into a nice day.

After the break, we started up again and we ran across a group of ATVs. They looked like they were having fun, too. We all had a great time sliding, going down the big hill and enjoying the great view we had at the time. It was a nice trail in nice weather.

La Salle Pass was the second and last trail that we ran for the day. La Salle Pass is a great trail to run after China Wall, which is what we did. When we began La Salle Pass, we could see that the clouds were starting to build up and…
