Gary, Betty, Mark, Kay, Theodore and the shelties (Lady and King) left from Boulder through Nederland, Rollinsville and Tolland to the north end of the Kingston Peak trail. It was quite windy in the valley with dark clouds over the mountains to the west. Fortunately, for most of the trip we experienced mild winds and sunny skies.

Other traffic on the trail was nearly nonexistent. Neither of us had any issues with the rocky areas nor loose rocks and soil on the hill climbs. The southern most hill climb has been signed to a single route. After viewing Loch Lomond from the overlook, we decided we would have lunch there.
