Illinois Gulch
We ran into too much snow on Missori Gulch, so we were trying Illinois Gulch next. After a short break in the parking lot, we started Illinois Gulch. Illinois Gulch did not have that much snow on the start of the trail, but the trail did have some ice on it. We all played on the rocks at the start of Illinois Gulch, and it was fun.
Soon, we came to a small hill that was very icy, even though it did not look bad at all. Most of us had to try a few times to get up the icy hill. Walt had it the worst, and his Jeep slid sideways a few times before he got his Jeep across the icy section and up the hill.
It didn't take long for us to get to Moab Hill. We did not play on Moab Hill this time, because there were about 25 other Jeeps driving around the obstacle. Instead, we watched them for short time and then made our way down the rest of Illinois Gulch.
The snow in some spots did get deeper but not too deep, so we kept going. We did not have any issues with the snow. Near the end of Illinois Gulch going down the bigger hill we found some fun sliding in the snow.
We soon found ourselves at the end of Illinois Gulch, and then we went to the start of Fern Creek for lunch.
