Illinois Gulch
It was our first snow trail run of the year, and it looked like it was going to be a very nice, warm day. We planned on doing a few trails in Rampart Range, and we started with Illinois Gulch. It had some snow on the trail but it was never very deep.
It didn't take long before we were at Moab Rock. One at a time, we played on the fun set of obstacles. We went down the right side and then went up on the left side. The center of Moab Rock was too difficult for the Jeeps that we had. We both had a blast playing around for a short time.
When we were done playing we made our way down Illinois Gulch to the Fern Creek trail. We had missed the first turn to stay on Illinois Gulch and started the way down Missouri Gulch by mistake, so we had to turn around and go back a mile or so. It was a great day so we were fine with the extra trip.
The snow on Illinois Gulch was fun and not too difficult, and soon we were at the start of Fern Creek.
