Hotel Gulch was the first trail to run of the year. Even though it was January, we weren't expecting much snow. We all aired down at the start of Hotel Gulch, and after airing down we started to make our way up the trail.

The trail was dry for the most part with some snow and ice in the shady parts. Even the shady parts of the trail would not give any of us any issues.

It was a nice drive up to Rampart Range Road. The weather was sunny and very warm for January, and the rest of the day looked like it was going to a great time to be outside.
