Goose Creek Road
We started our day with Goose Creek Road, which was also the first trail of the year for TrailDamage!
On the way to the meeting place in Woodland Park, it was cold, cloudy and snowing outside. But as we got to Woodland Park, the sun came out and it was above 30 degrees. Hopefully the weather would stay sunny.
The start of Goose Creek Road was plowed for about a half mile. The snow was not that deep, usually just two inches of snow. After we drove beyond the plowed sections, we had tracks from other vehicles to follow.
We did run into a few areas with deeper snow, and most were snow drifts or with little sun exposure in shady areas. None of us had any issues with Goose Creek Road. We did see a few people along the trail, mostly on the Deckers side. After the end of Goose Creek Road, we went to Hotel Gulch for the second trail of the day.
