Golden Spike was the next trail for this day doing the Trifecta, after Poison Spider Mesa. It didn’t take long for us to reach the Launch Pad. We all had fun going up the steep, slickrock hill. After Launch Pad we pulled to the side of the trail to let some side-by-sides pass us.

When we got to Skyline Drive, all of us went to the top for a group picture and to take in the view. It was fun driving up the big dome and then back down.

When we got to the Washtub, everyone except Niko went up the Washtub to the far right. Instead, Niko took the center line up the Washtub. He did make it look very easy.

At the overlook, we stopped for lunch and enjoyed the view of Moab. Niko helped a bicycle rider fix his bike so he could ride his bike back out. He found people in need everywhere during the trip!

At the Golden Crack, we all stopped to take pictures of each other going through it. It is a great obstacle, and we had a blast.

Matt decided to do the Buggy Challenge. He made it up okay, so then Niko tried driving up, too, but he could not make it up.

The Golden Coaster was fun. We did get some great pictures.

We did not try Double Whammy this time. We did get to see the rock buggies having a hard time going up and decided it wasn’t for us this trip.

When we got to Body Snatcher, we watched some rock buggies play around in the area. Roger was the only one who tried the Body Snatcher. He said that it looked easier going up the Body Snatcher than the bypass, but it was not, so he ended up utilizing the bypass, too. The obstacle wasn't going to snatch anyone this time.

Once we got to the top, we turned to head down Gold Bar Rim.

Is there anything more fun than Golden Spike?  We were making decent time as we came off of Poison Spider Mesa and started the trail, and we were grinning from ear to ear just thinking about it. It didn’t take long to get to the Launch Pad, and we had…
