This trail finished out the "Trifecta" of trails after Poison Spider Mesa and Golden Spike. We actually made it off the trail just as the sun was going down, an impressive 12 hours after starting the day. With 6 vehicles, 1 breakage and multiple issues with obstacles that's pretty fast!

We started this trail at the top a little unorganized. We had just come out of the fun of Body Snatcher on Golden Spike so everyone was relaxing. Monica ran up to the top to try the steps at the edge and had quite a bit of trouble before finally getting to the top. Bob tried a little bit but made it up as well. Then Aaron tried the harder wall at the right and had to work at it, but he made it up too. Bob and Aaron went all the way up to the turnaround spot at the Overlook and took some pictures too as the rest of the group went down to line up for the way to the bottom.

It was quiet as we worked our way down the trail. This trail is always a lot more fun on the way up, but downhill is cool too. The most fun is at the big Slide Hill, of course.

We got to the Hill and there were no rocks stacked at the bottom, which is unusual. Monica tried it for a little while but with all the sand and no lockers she finally gave up and had some rocks stacked. After that she made it up Slide Rock and everyone else followed. No one needed any help (other than the rocks) and no one broke anything.

We all went up the middle of the optional rock hills on the way out, and on the big shelves Bob worked on getting through them while Aaron stacked rocks and spotted. He finally made it through and as the sun started to really go down we passed on all the other optional obstacles. The last of the light faded away as we hurried up the dirt road around the cliff's edge and it was completely down when we hit the parking area on the other side.

It was an amazing day and everyone had a great time, as usual!

Gold Bar Rim the last trail of a long day of driving through the Trifecta, starting with Poison Spider Mesa and Golden Spike. It was getting pretty late, so we skipped the first overlook. The parking area was full of side-by-sides. We went down Golden Bar Rim, and most of…
