Gold Bar Rim
Gold Bar Rim the last trail of a long day of driving through the Trifecta, starting with Poison Spider Mesa and Golden Spike. It was getting pretty late, so we skipped the first overlook. The parking area was full of side-by-sides.
We went down Golden Bar Rim, and most of it was slow going. After some time, all of the side-by-sides were behind us. So, we made room for them to pass us.
After some time, we ran into two trucks. They turned around and went the same way we were going.
When we got to Slide Rock, the last side-by-side was just going up. The other group watched us and the trucks go up. Most of us had to try one or two lines to make it up Slide Rock, but no one had to winch up that rock!
The rest of the Gold Bar Rim was mostly easy going. We all had a great time. As we aired up, it was noticed that Walt had hit his bumper and Niko had hit his license plate sometime on the Trifecta run. Both damages to their Jeeps were minor, so it ended up being an awesome run for everyone. These are always going to be some of our favorite trails.
