It was a perfect day for ice racing, with blue skies, very little wind, and great temperatures. The tracks were even chewed up a bit, making the corners a lot more fun. It was a great second day in Georgetown.

We met for lunch at Beau Jo's and headed up to Georgetown. It was sunny and almost 50 degrees, and it would stay that way all day. When we got to the lake they were racing already, on three totally different tracks. We had the usual dogbone track and the one with the wide curves on the ends, but we had the "sock" track too. That track was a blast, and we spent most of the day there.

The sock track started with a tight weave around cones that you had to take fairly slowly. Then you had a huge oval to go around and a long straightaway where you could really get up some speed. Then you had to slow down drastically for the next slow weave through cones. We all really enjoyed that track.

Bob raced against the Hummer that was there and he won, and it became his bragging rights for the day. We all managed to lose to the souped up Honda (as usual) and we all got to race against each other at least a few times. Eric drove Bob's Jeep a lot, and he beat most of us too.

We were talking to the driver of the Bearly Movin' cheater rig, and he pointed at Gary and asked him to come over. He told him to go get his extra helmet if he wanted a ride, and of course Gary jumped at the chance. He got to ride around with him for a few races, and he was grinning from ear to ear the whole time.

We raced a lot, and everyone left by mid-afternoon. It was a perfect day!

This race day featured the usual Men’s and Women’s Bare Rubber races, along with the "Go For The Bronze" Bare Rubber race where the men and women race each other. We also saw a large group of Infinities in a race of their own. The weather was fantastic and we…
