We all got a little sunburned and had a lot of laughs on this crowded day. Lots of people turned up to watch the Street Stock and Pro Street classes, as well as a kids' division where kids could race each other (even if they had to sit on a parent's lap). Each child got a trophy and they were all grinning from ear to ear.

We saw the Pro Street competition this time, which basically follows the Street Stock guidelines but they can use Blizzaks and other specialty tires that you can't use in Street Stock (heavy siping, for example).

Only Matt and Monica raced this time, and they both got to the Lake early to get a lot of practice in. The Lake had a lot of snow on it so it wasn't the slick sheet of ice that it was the time before. It made racing completely different. We could really get some traction so we could get a lot more speed in the snow.

Monica raced first in the women's class and managed to win her first race. Then she was up against a seasoned veteran in the second race and ended up losing and not placing.

Matt raced next in the men's class and got knocked out in the first heat. He looked great though! Monica worked in the staging area of the men's race and held the numbers to call the vehicles into their line up. Later on, Matt did the same job in the Pro Street race.

We watched the kids race on a circular track and they all had so much fun. Some of them were very young (pre-kindergarten) and basically sat on their parent's lap while they drove around the course. The next batch of drivers got older and were in their early teens.

There was an Audi there that saw at least five different drivers in the Street Stock and Kids races. It did a really good job on the snow-covered ice.

It was a great time as usual, with a stop in Idaho Springs for some Beau Jo's pizza on the way home. A perfect day at the Races!

This race day featured the usual Men’s and Women’s Bare Rubber races, along with the "Go For The Bronze" Bare Rubber race where the men and women race each other. We also saw a large group of Infinities in a race of their own. The weather was fantastic and we…
