We started out planning to run Long Hollow Road but when we got to the start of Fern Creek there was a sign that read that the gate was closed just around the corner from Fern Creek. So we changed our plans and went up Fern Creek to Rampart Range Road instead, skipping Long Hollow Road this time.

Fern Creek had just the right amount of snow on the trail to make it fun. We did run into some people that were coming down the trail but we did not have any issues getting around each other.

Unfortunately, it's a short trail. Soon we were at the end of the trail and on Rampart Range Road. We did not have any issues with running Fern Creek trail but we had a lot of fun in the snow. It was a very nice, short drive down the trail. Then we headed off to the last trail of the day, Mount Herman Road.
