This was the first trail of the day for our wheeling trip during the Labor Day holiday weekend. It was a very nice and sunny day -- not to hot, not too cold. It was lovely, end-of-summer weather.

We aired down at the start of Old Stage Road and then made our way to the beginning of the Eagle Rock trail. The trailhead is about a half-hour drive down Old Stage Road. The road to the trail is always fun to drive and it is very scenic. It is very well maintained and there is almost always a lot of traffic.

When we got to the Eagle Rock trailhead we saw that the small pond at the start was filled with water. We all had fun driving through the pond. Soon we were at the camping area and it was filled with people enjoying the weather and the long weekend.

Soon we were at the first obstacle. We last drove this trail a couple of years ago and it seemed like it had gotten more difficult in spots. We made our way up the trail and all of us were having a blast in the new challenges. Everyone got through the first part of the trail without any issues.

At the last obstacle, Jim went around a big rock and Terry went over the rock. It was a really good obstacle.

At the top of the hill we stopped for a small break. Then Terry's dog took off down the trail and would not come back. Terry went after his dog and it took a very long time because the dog had made its way back to the start of the trail. In the end, Terry found the dog and was able to return with her to our break spot.

While we were waiting, the rest of us had lunch. When Terry made it back we finished the Eagle Rock trail and then we went on to the second trail of the day, Mount Baldy.
