This was one of those days that really comes together -- we met three new TrailDamage.com members, the weather was great, the trail rocked, and everyone was smiling all day. This trail is the perfect one for early summer or late fall because of the valley it's in. The weather is actually pretty hot during the summer and for this late May run we didn't see a hint of snow on the ground.

There were seven vehicles out and though we kept running with other groups at times everyone got along well and they had a good time watching us play. The Rock Garden was fun as usual -- Kris snapped a u-joint on a big rock and Kendall managed to do a little damage to his passenger-side rear door.

Lunch was sunny and hot but by the time we got to the Rockpile it was raining a little and that stopped almost all of us from trying it. Justin went over it a couple of times and got some great poser shots in. The rocks were too wet for the rest of us and Kris was down to 2-wheel drive.

Justin tried the crazy line on the Waterfall a few times and managed to break or bend quite a few things before he called it quits. We all made it up just fine with some rock stacking and spotting through the rough parts.

We managed to get finished pretty early in the evening and went to the Coyote Cantina in Johnson's Village. The service was HORRIBLE! We probably won't bother with that place again.

We got back tired as usual from the long drive, but had a great time!

We met in Conifer at 8AM and we were on the trail at 10:45AM. It was 47 degrees when we started but the temperature got up to 71 degrees and we didn’t see a cloud in the sky. We saw several deer throughout the day, too. They finally got the…
