We were in the area and had a little extra time (and energy) so a few of us from the Coney Flats and Middle St. Vrain run went over to check out Caribou Creek. They've changed it a little since November!

I'm sure it's to stop erosion but there is now a fence blocking off the large hill leading into the Creek. Now the only way through is the relatively flat side. It's still fun, though.

We continued on to the Whoopdeedoos and found that they too have been changed a little. They have been filled in by about half, so though they are still Whoopdeedoos they aren't nearly what they used to be. It's unfortunate, as these were the best Whoopdeedoos out there.

We followed the trail out to the main road at the other end. A nice, short run with some unexpected changes to the trail.

We had really enjoyed ourselves on West Magnolia and Eldorado Mountain, so we continued our scenic exploration on Caribou Creek. There were a few ATVs at the trailhead, but we didn’t see too many on the trail. The weather continued to be perfect as we started on the trail. Fall…
