Cedar Mountain Road
We meet up in Woodland Park to travel to the trailhead together from there. The forecast predicted a cold day and we have had snow covering the ground for weeks now. That's pretty unusual for that area of Colorado, actually.
Soon, we got to the trail and were off to the start of Cedar Mountain Road. We aired down in a big clearing, and by this time the sun was out and it looked like it was going to be a good day of four-wheeling.
Cedar Mountain Road was covered in snow as expected but the snow was not too deep. There were tracks in the snow already, so we did not have to make new tracks going down the trail. We only ran into two other people on Cedar Mountain Road and that was at the start of the trail.
Most of Cedar Mountain was easy going and none of us had any issues with the snow on Cedar Mountain Trail.
One of the hills that we went up was fun because the snow cover on the trail made it a bit more interesting.
After finishing Cedar Mountain Road, we started on our way to the next trail of the day, Hotel Gulch.
