Balanced Rock Road
This was the second trail of the day. It was still early in the day, so we just took a small break and then started down Balanced Rock Road.
Balanced Rock Road did have more snow on it then Mount Herman Road. We were not the first vehicles to go down that trail that day, and we followed the tracks left by the ones before us.
We only ran into a few hikers near the lake at the end of Balance Rock Road. They couldn’t understand how we could drive down the trail with all the snow and were amazed that we made it that far. Actually, we were a bit surprised ourselves, but we expected a lot more snow on the trail.
None of us had any issues going down or back up Balanced Rock Road since the snow was not that deep and the trail was less icy than Mount Herman Road.
We stopped at the lake for lunch before going back up Balanced Rock Road.
It was easy going back up Balanced Rock Road, even at the small hill climb near the lake.
After returning back to the start of Balanced Rock Road, we also went back down Mount Herman Road to end the great day of driving in some snow.
