Middle St. Vrain
Middle St. Vrain was the second trail for the day after we finished visiting the site of the T-33A Plane Crash. The trail just opened earlier the previous week. As we arrived at the trailhead of Middle St. Vrain trail, we ran into 20 or more Jeeps airing down to run the same trail as we were going to do. So we made our way to the front of the big group as we were already aired down and ready to go before them. We got lucky with the timing.
The rocky obstacle at the start was fun to go through. We did not have any issues with the rocks. As we made our way down the the trail, we did stop to flex out a big rock in the middle of the trail.
As we got close to the first water crossing on Middle St. Vrain, we had to stop for some bikes trying to get across the first water crossing. They were trying to go up the side of the water crossing. When we got our turn to go across the water crossing we found it was not too deep, only about halfway up the tires.
The rest of the water crossing was fun and we had no issues with it. Then we headed up Coney Flats.
