Taylor Draw
We were already having a good day when we got to the trailhead for Taylor Draw. It had been raining for a while, and it was chilly. But we were still having a good time. Unfortunately, Niko had to leave to get back to town, so Mike was on his own with Monica riding shotgun.
The Taylor Draw trail had promise. The sign said it was a "Dead End" but aren't all trails dead ends eventually? The trail climbed at first, but then leveled off. Then it wound back and forth through the trees.
We would pop out of the trees for nice views under the clouds, and then pop back into the trees. Then, we came around a bend and the trail just ended at a gate. And that was it. It was a bit of a letdown, but all trails are better than no trails at all.
On our way back, we saw bicycle tracks that weren't there before. So, we'd passed a bike at some point without seeing it. We never saw it. It must have been a wet ride.
This was a quick trail, and then we were on our way to the next one.
