Blue Hills Road
Though our home base was in Green River, we planned on doing a few trails closer to Moab, too. We wanted to check out a way to get off of the highways for part of the distance between Green River and Highway 313, so we turned at the Ruby Ranch Road exit and headed in. We didn't air down, choosing to keep going on full tire pressure. The road ended up being easy and smooth, so it worked out just fine.
We had the route mapped out ahead of time, so we knew where our turns were. That made route finding pretty easy, so we just enjoyed the morning. It was chilly, but the sky was clear and it promised to be a nice day. We spent the beginning of the trail following big power lines.
It was a nice drive, and soon we were out at Highway 191. We popped out onto the pavement and headed to our next trail.
