Potato Salad Hill
After running Cliff Hanger and Moab Rim, Ladd and Bob went to look at Potato Salad Hill. We drove to the top first and looked down. It is a nasty looking rock, black with tire marks and oil spills, and the dump makes a nice backdrop. There was no one there but us, so we looked around for a bit and Ladd suggested that Bob go down to the bottom and look up the hill. We could get a poser shot of Bob on the hill that way.
Bob took a short line up the left side of the hill and stopped for a poser picture way down on the hill. Ladd said that might qualify him to list the hill as a trail run on TrailDamage.com, but probably not.
Bob locked his differentials and reset for a line on the right side of the hill, planning on another poser shot further up the hill. Once on the hill, it just felt right. The moon, the sun and the planets were all aligned and Bob just drove up Potato Salad Hill, no sweat, no problem. It will probably never be this easy again.
