Sugarloaf Mountain
This is always a nice drive through the trees, with mountain views showing up here and there. We started on the west side after doing Gordon Gulch. The sky was getting cloudier, bringing the temperatures down. It made it a lazy, relaxing trip.
It was a Sunday, so the trail was pretty empty. We saw a few people heading for home, but we really had the trail to ourselves.
When we got to the parking area near the east side, Holly hung out while Monica went down to the trailhead to see if the trail was the same as it was when we saw it last. It was, so she came right back. After that little diversion, we headed to Switzerland Trail.
