It was planned at the last minute -- and started out as only Mike and Monica. We met Derek at the trailhead and by the end of it he was a TrailDamage.com member. We had a good time and a long day!

The last time we ran Spring Creek we got stopped by snow just before the Rock Garden. This time there was no snow, but when we got to the Garden there were two vehicles broken down and other vehicles all over the place. There is a Landcruiser run every Father's Day on Spring Creek and we accidentally got in the middle of it. Everyone was really nice but we didn't get to run a particularly nasty bit of the Garden. Next time!

The rocks were still fantastic and it was a great time. It stays pretty hot on the trail so this is still a good one to run early and late in the season. At the top of the meadow we went left and headed down to Idaho Springs for pizza. It was a great day!

We couldn’t have asked for a better time on Spring Creek. The weather was perfect, the trail conditions were challenging without being too tough, and with only six vehicles we got through it much faster than we usually do. Even the trail damage for the group was incredibly minor. It…
