We had planned on running another trail after Sevenmile Rim but the day ended up being one of those trail runs where things just kept breaking. First Kendall snapped his steering in half in the Silver Crack, then Robert's leaf springs came right off the frame. We went into town and got everything fixed, then went back to put Kendall's Samurai back together and continue playing on Wipe-Out Hill.

It was a really nice surprise to find the trail marked with paint on the rocks and signs at almost all of the intersections. When we had been on this trail in the past it had been very difficult to find and we missed a few key spots. This time it was easy and we could just enjoy the trail.

It wasn't too sunny so our sunburns were yet to come on this trip. The view at the overlook was awesome and we hung out for awhile taking pictures.

We actually saw Uranium Arch this time (the first time we didn't drive right by it) and the sun started coming out. Everyone put on sunblock and the tops started coming off the Jeeps.

The Silver Crack was fun and everyone drove through it to pose and flex. Then Kendall went through and completely lost his steering when the assembly snapped in two. It wasn't going to be moveable so he removed it and the plan was to get it to town to get it welded and return later on in the day. We had lunch and watched the festivities.

When we got to the big ledge between the Buttes we started playing but then Robert stopped and noticed that the leaf springs on his YJ had snapped completely off the frame. Everyone thought about it for awhile and they rigged together some D-rings to attach it to Robert's bumper so he could drive it off the trail. Now we had two people who needed to hit the 4x4 shop.

We missed the turnoff to the area that isn't so tippy, so everyone went through the tippy spot. Eric was the only one to get really crazy and continue on to the very tippiest section. Luckily Robert's Jeep was driving just fine.

That put us at the top of Wipe-Out Hill and everyone went down it so we could get back to town via the shorter, easier route. Robert took the most difficult section and his Jeep held up without any issues.

We took the sandy road out and drove through town to visit the 4x4 Outpost. They helped us right away and Kendall got his steering put back together and straightened out a little. Monica even got her tire carrier fixed from the day before. Robert's fixes were going to take longer so we left him at the shop and everyone drove in the back way to get to Kendall's Samurai.

We drove by Wipe-Out Hill this time and also found the other way to bypass the tippy section. Kendall's Samurai was waiting there when we got to the little crack and he put it together very quickly. While he was working, Robert showed up too.

Everyone posed in a line in the Silver Crack and there were smiles all around. We all played on Wipe-Out Hill and headed back out the short way. Even though we spent all day on this trail and got back out after dark it was still a really fun day and no one regretted having to go back.

We had big plans to fully map out the area and finally do the Wipe-Out Hill trail. We had always done Sevenmile Rim and then hopped on the end of Wipe-Out Hill to do the big obstacle and head out to the highway. This time we were going to do…
