We couldn't find Sevenmile Rim during our last trip out in October so this time we were prepared. There were 20 points marked in the GPS and we printed out multiple maps and instructions. Armed with all of this we still got lost about three times.

There was a good sandy stretch with a little hill that was fun to race on, with lots of ledges to test out our bumper clearance. The weather got a little rough in the middle of the day, wind and rain changing to light snow for a little while. That made the fins really intimidating but really not that slick.

We also went over to the big Sand Hill at the end of the Monitor and Merrimac Buttes trail. What a blast!

We woke up to a rainy morning, so doors and windows stayed on the Jeeps. When we got to the trailhead it was lightly drizzling. At least it wasn’t dusty. It didn’t seem to make the rock any slicker and it wasn’t too muddy, so it didn’t change things too…
