Radical Hill
We took a different way out after getting to the top of Radical Hill, and it was almost as cool as the Hill itself. It stretched on and on for miles of cool trail. Most of it was simply rocky trail across the tundra, but a lot of it was steep and loose. The scenery was always good, too.
First we played on the initial obstacle before the Hill. Everyone attempted the line up the rock hill to the left, but John had to finally give in and take the trail to the right rather than break a complaining U-joint. At that point it was raining off and on, and chilly.
The weather gave us a break and stopped raining for our trip up to Radical Hill. Everyone did a great job up the Hill and around the rocky and final corner. The view from the top was as awesome as it ever was and we stayed up there for quite some time.
We followed the main trail and only Mike went down to Montezuma using the shorter trail as he had to get home early. The rest of us headed out for the long trail to Montezuma.
Everyone especially enjoyed the steep, loose hill with the big rocks at the top. It was even more challenging than the Hill, which was cool. We only took one wrong turn that ended at a dead end, and only about 5 minutes out of our way.
Once we made it down to Saints John the sun finally came out for a few minutes. Then when we got to Montezuma it started to rain, then hail. It was extremely wet for a long time after that!
We had dinner in Dillon and made our way home after a long day. This was a great way off of Radical Hill!
