Middle St. Vrain
We ran this trail right after playing on Coney Flats so we got to start at the Creek end of the trail. We parked at the end and wandered around, checking out the scenery.
The Creek is pretty full this year, and the area is very green and lush for the Colorado mountains. The water was cool and clear -- basically a perfect mountain scene. We stayed for awhile then headed down the trail.
Beth got her Jeep lifted so she was trying out lines that she couldn't have done before. It was cool to watch as she had plenty of clearance to go over everything.
We were coming down the trail when we saw the "Big Rock" on the side of the trail. It was basically placed there to draw a line between the trail and camping areas. It was too big and round to resist so Mike, Joe and Tom all drove up it as far as they could. Each of them got really tippy the further up the rock their tire went -- and they each were close to rolling over on their sides. It was so cool!
The perfect end to a perfect day, Middle St. Vrain is a nice trail.
