We managed to run up, then down Heart Attack Hill before the sun went down. We went to the North Sand Hills for most of the day, but we figured if we hurried we were going to go by the entrance to Kelly Flats anyway so we were going to try to do both.

Aside from The Chutes (which are too big for the vehicles that were there that day, anyway) the rest of the trail isn't challenging. It took us about an hour, so it was well worth it.

We aired down and started up the trail, getting to Heart Attack Hill right away. We all took the same line, on the far right of the hill. Monica went first, then Sean, then Ladd. No one had any issues and we all had fun.

After getting past the top we all turned around and came down Heart Attack Hill. We'd never come down it before, only up it. It was definitely an experience! It's very steep, and most of the time you're going off of memory when you pick your line. We all came down on the same line we took on the way up.

We were airing up not that long after we aired down. This is a great mini-run if you're in the area. Always a good time on that hill.

We always have a great time and usually see some trail damage, and this time on Kelly Flats was no exception. We had spent most of the day getting turned away from trails (Storm Mountain and Old Flowers Road) so it was nice to finish a trail and not see…
