Jenny Creek
We had a blast on this trail as usual, and only saw one other vehicle the whole way. The last time we went we had large snow drifts and deep water, but this time there were bare, dry rocks in all of the water crossings and the deepest water at the bridge was maybe 6 inches deep.
Ladd and Monica had to get out and see where the big snow drift was last time. It must have been 10 feet deep in places. Crazy!
We had a good time playing on the one ledge area, with a couple people taking some fun lines. When we got to the bridge things got fun.
The big rock in the middle of the trail right before the water crossing at the bridge had been uprooted. It was turned around, basically in the same place but a little higher and more difficult to negotiate. We all managed to get our front tires around it and all but Sean driving Ladd's Jeep had their back tire over it too (Sean managed to tear the sidewall a little bit but he did get around the rock).
Monica went through the creek first, coming down hard on her bumper and mashing it up pretty well. Amir went through next and also banged his way through the water. Mike made some noise too, though his pass was pretty graceful. When Sean hit the water he didn't hit anything -- nice!
We made it back to Rollins Pass East at the end of Jenny Creek in record time. Though this trail is a lot more fun in the spring with the snow melt, it is always a good time!
