This trail is always fun, but this year it was really a blast. The trail is blocked on the Yankee Doodle Lake side by numerous large and steep snow drifts. When we first arrived there were some Jeeps trying to make it up the main section, which was steep and looked very difficult to slide down without hitting trees. We decided to go around them on a different snowbank.

We all slid down it a little bit, but with a touch of the gas pedal we all made it down fairly easily. Monica found a tree stump and got stuck enough to need winch help from Mike, but then made it around the stump (everyone without massive clearance had to go around).

There was another, smaller snow drift just after that, then a large pile of snow that high-centered both Tom and Adam. Joe was the only one to make it over that one, the rest took the bypass.

The trail was very wet, with shallow and deep areas of the Creek running along the trail. A few guys tried going over the bridge that is out, too. Adam slid off the side and had some fun getting back on the bridge. It was cool to watch!

We made it out safely and most went home from there. A few of us went out for dinner in Central City and it rained like crazy. We all had a fun time!

We had a blast on this trail as usual, and only saw one other vehicle the whole way. The last time we went we had large snow drifts and deep water, but this time there were bare, dry rocks in all of the water crossings and the deepest water at…
