We started this trail right after finishing Minor Threat. As always, it was a blast!

Last year there were a few people who had issues with big wheelstands at the top of the hill near the trailhead. This year, everyone just drove right over everything without an issue. It wasn't long before we were on the big loop for the trail.

We were all together until we came to the play area. At that point, Walt went up to the blue trail and stayed there. Don, Michael and Robert all tried to go up the big play hill but no one succeeded. Don got about a foot up up it, but that was the best anyone could do. It's just too slick and sandy, and very steep.

Don went up the series of ledges that claimed a couple of soft tops last year, and he got a big scratch on his rear corner panel for his troubles. It was the same tree that did it. Robert got on the hill and just powered up it, determined to not get any soft top damage this time. He was successful.

We started the Boulevard and came around the first corner to find that the Wall was still a difficult obstacle. Monica tried her line from last year but it wouldn't work. She tried a lot of lines before running her driver's side tires up the side of the wall to finally make it up and over the obstacle.

Don tried a few lines, too, and at one point had to make an 80-point turn to get realigned in the obstacle. He finally just drove up the side, too, and made it up.

Michael made it look pretty easy, and his long wheelbase seemed to help. He popped right up it without too much effort.

Robert came up the wall last with his usual power. He bounced around, and then made it right up.

We had fun in the early rocks, and then Monica got to the Wedgy. She was pretty sure she could make it up this year after being denied the year before. She got up in it but her line got pretty messed up at the top, and suddenly she found herself quite tipped over and in a wheelstand. She couldn't get herself out of it, and she needed help.

Don raced around the Wedgy bypass and it was still a difficult way up. He didn't have to work on it too much, and soon he was up and ready to be a winch point. Monica winched off of him and managed to make it out of the Wedgy without damage. She'd have to wait for another year to make it up the obstacle unassisted, though.

Michael took the Wedgy bypass, and Robert took a different line up the Wedgy to be successful. Nice job!

We were starting the last bit of the Boulevard, and Michael escaped to join Walt on the blue trail. The rest of us worked on the ledge with the big rock that threatens your differentials -- the Diff Ledge. It was even more work than the year before, but we all got through it.

Monica started the exit and came around the corner to find that the big rocks had moved down and were no longer an issue. The exit was the most difficult part the year before, but now it was easy. She just drove right through it. Don and Robert followed, and no one had an issue.

We were out of the Boulevard and all of us were together again. We decided to go up the sand hill this time. Monica didn't have too many issues, but she dug out the sand for everyone behind her in the process.

Don had to pick a different line up the sand hill, but he made it just fine. Michael made it look really easy, finding a great line. Robert just powered up it. Walt decided to stay on the blue trail and meet up with us again later.

We didn't like the looks of the big downhill, so we turned right. The next bit of rocks weren't too difficult.

We came around to the intersection and turned left, but soon found that it was a dead end, with rope marking off the top of the hill. The obstacles up there looked like fun, but it hadn't been traveled in awhile. We came back down.

The other direction circled us around and then we popped back out onto the trail just below the sand hill. Handy! We joined up with Walt and then we were on our way out.

When we got to the end of the loop we kept going, and we took the other exit. It's a fun last bit of rocks, so it was worth it.

We headed down the road to go play in Area BFE, with lots of time left in the day. What a great trail!

Led by Monica I.
It was our third day of trails and it seemed like we might all end up as a group on a single trail, but it still didn’t happen. Julie, Mark, Roger and Robert all started the trail together, playing around in the rocks near the start of Helldorado on the…
